Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Life Coach?

A Life Coach is a trained professional who supports, challenges and motivates you to take action to achieve your goals.

A coach will help you to overcome obstacles; unearth limiting beliefs that are so deep rooted you don't know they exist, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and enable you to move forward much quicker than you would on your own.

What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is centered around a professional partnership between the client and coach.

Coaching helps you to look inward and gain a greater understanding of yourself and it allows the coach to assist you through a period of change in your life.

How does coaching work?

Through careful questioning, we dive deep into conversation and I will help you examine the things in your life that are important to you. From here we can draw out what it is that you want to change. Whether that's less or more of something already in your life or whether you want to get to a place you are not at today.

There is structure to each session, where we will explore and reflect on your current mindset, paying close attention to your beliefs, values, motivators and triggers, gain clarity on your aspirations, identify any gaps and look at how we can overcome any obstacles.

This exploration process is mostly future focused, action oriented, with the aim of achieving specific personal goals.

What coaching is not?

Life Coaching is not to be construed as management, counselling, consulting, teaching, training, progressive discipline, mentoring and/or therapy of any kind. Nor does it include personal, business, medical, financial or legal advice.

What happens during a coaching session?

Each session will start with a review of the actions set in the last session and look at progress and success. We will then set a session goal to clearly set out what you want to achieve by the end of the day’s session. We will explore what has worked and any obstacles you have come across along the way in achieving this goal, using lots of techniques and creating options that you might not have thought of before.

How long are the coaching sessions?

Coaching sessions will be held weekly and will normally last 1 hour. A session may over run slightly if we are in the middle of a ‘breakthrough’. I wouldn’t make the sessions any longer as they can require a lot of your energy.

How will sessions take place?

Sessions are held over zoom and you will receive a reminder of the session by way of an emailed video call link the day before.

Who will be involved in the sessions?

It is just the two of us in the session and they are recorded. We will set an intention at the start of the session and then explore what is coming up for you. We will also take time to reflect on what’s happened since the last session.

How many sessions do I have?

Depending on which package you are interested in will depend on the amount of sessions you have. I have three 1:1 coaching options:

  • 3 month block = 12 sessions . This is if you want to transform an area of your life.

Consists of weekly 1:1 sessions for 12 weeks

  • 6 month block = 22 sessions. This is if you want to transform multiple areas of your life.

Consists of weekly 1:1 sessions for 5 months (maximum of 20 sessions)

then every other week (2 sessions) for month 6.

  • 6 week block = 6 sessions. This is if you have a specific block, challenge, decision that you want help with.

Consists of weekly 1:1 sessions for 6 weeks

All sessions will be booked at the start of our coaching journey. I will provide you with a list of dates and ask that you confirm your availability in advance. We can factor in holidays etc. I find this helps with accountability.

How many life coaching sessions will I need?

This depends on what you want to achieve with your coaching and how quickly you want to get there. Most people come to a Life Coach with a life-changing goal in mind. In order to achieve this we break it down into smaller goals to be achieved at each session. For some people this may take as few as 6 sessions and for others it will be more. It is a personal decision based on individual goals.

At the end of your coaching program we can discuss whether you wish to continue with coaching.

What happens if I realise coaching isn't for me?

You can request a refund within 14 days of signing the agreement.
In the event that one or more coaching sessions have already taken place within the first 14 days of signing the agreement, you are still entitled to request a refund minus the value of the coaching session already taken place.
