Creating a Gratitude Habit

Creating a gratitude habit is an effective and powerful exercise for improving your mental health and well-being.

Gratitude involves showing appreciation for the things in life that are meaningful or valuable to you.

Taking a moment to notice and acknowledge the things you’re grateful for each day can brighten your outlook, boost your mood, and help you feel more positive in the face of challenges.

Why not give it a try with my helpful guide?

Re-frame Negative Thoughts

The way we think, feel and behave are all linked and continuously affect one another.

When we develop patterns of thoughts or behaviours that are unhelpful these can affect how we feel. How we feel can in turn affect how we think and behave. It's easy to find ourselves in a vicious cycle.

What's great is that we have the POWER to influence this process ourselves and improve our mental health by doing so. Our thoughts and feelings are not fixed.

This simple gratitude exercise involves noticing our thoughts and flipping a negative thought into a positive one.

Take a look at this simple exercise and try it yourself.

The Big Picture

Create your "big picture" of how you see your life in 10 years and then break this down into the smaller things that you can do in the next five years, then next year, next month, next week, and today.
